Heishi Turquoise and Navajo Shell Necklace

Regular price €159,00 €0,00

This one of a kind necklace is made from pale blue Heishi turquoise discs and an old Navaho silver shell pendant with a small round turquoise in the middle. Symmetrically worked in are two Karen silver rod beads with flower motif. The sterling silver hook clasp can be bent to open and close.

The literal meaning of heishi is "shell". These organic shell beads, cut in the form of small or larger discs originally came from the Kewa Pueblo people from New Mexico. Heishi also refers to the disc cut and shape of a variety of gem stones, including turquoise.
